School board honours custodial staff with special luncheon

Throughout the pandemic, custodial staff modified tasks in order to ensure students, staff and visitors remained safe through enhanced COVID-19 protocols

To recognize the vital role of custodial staff, the Huron-Perth Catholic District School Board hosted an appreciation luncheon recently catered by Smokin’ Road Q at the Catholic education centre.

A news release issued by the board explains that throughout the pandemic, custodial staff modified tasks in order to ensure students, staff and visitors remained safe through enhanced COVID-19 protocols, including: enhanced cleaning and sanitation measures, new infection prevention and control guidelines, rearranging classroom and school spaces for cohorts and social distancing and installing and maintaining air movement and filtration ventilation systems

“The board is very blessed to have so many wonderful custodians across the district and thankful for their continued diligence and perseverance."
