Stratford Police Service is hosting the Project 529 Bike Registration Program and Bike Sale starting this Saturday.
The goal of the project is to reduce the number of bike thefts in the community.
The official launch of Project 529 is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. at the Optimist Club of Stratford with an announcement from SPS and an official recognition to the club for their support with this program.
People will be able to register their bikes at that location and there will be more information available.
All registrations are free.
Registration can also be done through www.529garage.com/stratfordpoliceservice or can be completed by downloading the Project 529 app.
The bike sale will run as a silent auction from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
All sales are cash only and all proceeds of the sale will be donated to the Optimist Club of Stratford.
