Remembrance Day services for Stratford and area

There are now 10,200 poppies adorning the William Hutt Bridge.

There will be a number of options for those looking to attend a Remembrance Day service in Stratford and area between November 10-11:

  • November 10 in Milverton: the Milverton Legion service begins at 10:45 a.m. and will head to the Perth East Recreation Centre for the celebration at 11 a.m. 
  • November 10 in St. Marys: services will be starting at 12:30 p.m.
  • November 11 in Mitchell and Listowel at their respective cenotaphs (Mitchell at 10:30 a.m./Listowel at 10:45 a.m.).
  • November 11 in New Hamburg  with the service at the community centre.
  • November 11 in Stratford, starting at 10 a.m. members of the Legion, veterans, cadets, first responders and dignitaries will be paraded from the Stratford Armouries to the Cenotaph; the service starts at 10:30 a.m.

For those unable to attend in person, the Stratford ceremony, it will also be broadcast live beginning at 10:30 a.m. on Rogers TV (Cable 20 and rogerstv.com), on Wightman TV Channel 1 and webcast on Ballinran Entertainment’s YouTube channel.
