With Early Childhood Educator appreciation day still in the rearview mirror, several of the Avon Maitland District School Board's elementary schools are seeking out emergency supply staff.
Bedford Public School, Anne Hathaway, Avon public, Hamlet public, Romeo public, Stratford Intermediate and Shakespeare public are all seeking local level emergency educators and support staff, and its a challenge for the entire AMDSB.
Local level emergency educators and support staff are people in the community who have expressed an interest in working with students. The person should have an educational or work background that responsibly supports their use for coverage in emergency situations.
Ideal candidates will have previous experience working with children, a proven ability and willingness to support students with special needs, an ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism, and an ability to accept assignments on a casual basis with short notice.
Interested candidates must submit an application that includes a resume and cover letter, along with three supervisory references, as well as a criminal record and vulnerable sector check.
