Friday night lights and Santa parade in St. Marys

The holiday season officially gets underway Friday in St. Marys with the Kinsmen Santa Claus Parade.

The parade departs the Pyramid Recreation Centre at 7 p.m. and travels up James Street, west on Queen Street through the downtown, then south on Water Street.

After that, guests can head over to the lighting of the WinterLights display at Milt Dunnell Field.

Food and refreshments are available on-site from the Sunset Shack.

The celebration continues Saturday with the St. Marys Craft Show at the Pyramid Recreation Centre, 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Next weekend, St. Marys BIA will host its three-day Merchants’ Open House, which begins on Friday, Nov. 24 as participating downtown merchants offer special promotions and festive giveaways. This year’s event includes horse and wagon rides, Victorian carollers and a visit from Mr. and Mrs. Claus.
