A vehicle stop at a RIDE program on Huron Street led to the recovery of a massive haul of illegal drugs and cash.

Stratford police were conducting the program on Thursday on the corner of York Street and Huron Street, when a white Chevy Equinox was stopped at 9:45 p.m., with three occupants inside.

Police seized 518 grams of methamphetamines, 435 grams of fentanyl, six grams of cocaine, 24 hydromorphone pills, 33 grams of cannabis, and more than $8,000 in cash.

Estimated street value of all seized items is more than $180,000.

Police said the driver has a suspended license and was arrested. Officers located a prohibited knife as well as suspected methamphetamine and fentanyl.

That discovery led to the arrest of the other two people in the Equinox. The driver was identified as a 40-year-old female of Windsor, the front seat passenger, a 44-year-old Windsor male. The rear passenger was identified as 41-year-old Ridgetown male.

All three accused were taken into police custody.

In addition to the drugs, police found a second prohibited knife and bear spray. All three are charged with various drugs and weapons-related charges. They were held in custody to attend a bail hearing and have since been remanded into custody.
