Calling all bakers, dessert lovers, and kitchen helpers – it’s time to put your aprons on! February marks the return of ‘Bake for the Animals’, the sweetest fundraiser in support of the animals at the Humane Society of Kitchener Waterloo & Stratford Perth (HSKWSP). Whether you’re mixing, frosting, or simply taste-testing, everyone can take part in this month-long celebration of baked goods and giving back. Start your ovens, hop online and register for ‘Bake for the Animals’.
Participants can sign up online, create their “online bakery” fundraising page, and invite friends and family to donate in exchange for some sweet treats. The HSKWSP provides each registrant receives a host kit, and free downloadable party materials are available to help make their bake sale a success. Schools, businesses, and community groups are also encouraged to get involved by hosting bake sales, sponsoring, or donating to the event.
“Bake for the Animals is one of our most beloved fundraisers,” said Victoria Baby, Chief Executive Officer, HSKWSP. “It’s amazing to see our community come together to bake treats that change lives. Every dollar raised helps us provide care and shelter to animals in need.”
For those who prefer eating over baking, this year’s ‘Pastry Path’ offers another way to participate. By visiting participating bakeries and eateries, supporters and their pets can enjoy sweet treats while completing a stamp card for a chance to win an exciting prize.
“This event is a fun and easy way for anyone to get involved,” said Jordan Baker, Director of Development, HSKWSP. “Whether you’re baking at home, selling treats at work, or exploring local bakeries, every effort helps support the animals we care for.”
