Michael Fox, Loreena McKennitt and Gemini Award-winning actor Cedric Smith will host the community at the Falstaff Family Centre Cookies and Carols event.
Smith will read a portion of A Child’s Christmas in Wales, by Dylan Thomas. Santa Claus himself will make an appearance and there will be lots of carol singing in between with everyone invited to join in, a news release said. Cookies and beverages will of course be on offer.
“This is a cherished tradition we love hosting for the community,” said McKennitt, owner and director of the centre. “We look forward to seeing people again in person and enjoying the spirit of the season.”
The event is free but donations will be accepted for the Stratford House of Blessing.
Falstaff Family Centre have hosted Cookies & Carols events on and off, as time and circumstances have allowed, since McKennitt bought the former school in 2000. This year's festivities take place Dec. 13 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m.
