How we hear shapes how we experience our lives with everyone in our community.

That’s why Lucas Dasilva, with business partner Shelly Gansevles, opened Community Hearing Care in Stratford.

“We understand how precious it is to have the power to listen and participate in life,” said Lucas. “When our ability to participate is taken from us due to hearing loss, it can feel frustrating and defeating. We are here to help with that.”

Lucas is a graduate of Conestoga College and has worked in Stratford for the past two years. He's passionate about working out, cooking, and sports cars. Lucas and his wife Melissa love exploring, hiking, and catching the latest movies together. They also enjoy Stratford's incredible restaurant scene.

“I love the small-town charm, the friendly people, and the vibrant local culture in Stratford,” said Lucas. “Opening Community Hearing Care here felt like the perfect way to give back to a community that has welcomed me so warmly.”

Shelly’s journey into the hearing care industry began over a decade ago when she realized her passion for patient care and community service. Her dedication to making every visit to the clinic a comfortable and enjoyable experience for patients has been a driving force in her career.

Both Lucas and Shelly are dedicated to helping the Stratford community through Community Hearing Care. “We had a wonderful grand opening on June 20, and would like to thank everyone for their support,” said Shelly.

“Hearing loss can manifest itself at any age, for many different reasons. It is often a very slow onset, and it is others that notice hearing difficulties before the person themselves,” said Lucas. “That’s why it’s so important to consult a professional, and get hearing tested. Untreated hearing loss can lead to fatigue, and missing out on important conversations and living life to the fullest.”

“We offer free hearing tests, and free wax removal with a hearing test for our community members who are fifty years old and older,” said Shelly. “We are patient-oriented and Community Hearing Care is committed to the community's well-being.”

In addition to the above services, Community Hearing Care provides hearing aids, counselling, and hearing aid maintenance to its customers. Lucas also offers free consultations to those who are wondering about their hearing. For those who have purchased a hearing aid elsewhere, Lucas can evaluate it to make sure that they are hearing the best they can with their device.

“We are committed to providing a warm, non-judgmental environment where patients feel comfortable and cared for,” said Lucas.

Shelly added, “As the only locally owned and operated clinic in Stratford, we care deeply about those in our community, and offer personalized, result-oriented solutions tailored to each patient's unique needs. This is what sets us apart from other hearing care businesses.”

Shelly and Lucas invite you to call them today for all your hearing healthcare needs…and see for yourself the difference a locally owned and operated clinic can make!
