It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Mary Elizabeth Vince (nee Fraser). Her life was a journey marked by resilience, determination, and a deep longing for connection. She left this world peacefully on December 26, 2024 at the age of 78, surrounded by her family and the staff of Spruce Lodge, Stratford.
Mary took pride in giving back to her community by being a crossing guard for the city. She was, at her core, a person shaped by her own strength and perseverance and we all believe she has now found the peace she longed for.
She was preceded in death by her parents Janet and Charles Fraser, her sister Barbara (Lenny) Battle and her brother Andy (Dorothy) Fraser as well as her two twin daughters Sharon and Jennifer Otto, and her grandchild Damien Gorse. Their memories remained close to her heart, and she often spoke of her longing to be reunited with them.
She leaves behind her son Jason (Karen) Otto and her daughter Julie (Dave) Otto, her grandchildren Teagan (Liam) Bayne, Tristan (Samantha) Otto, Lachlan Bayne, Lauren Otto, Matthew Otto, Zachary Gorse, Braedon Gorse, and Dylan Gorse, and her great-grandchild Lennox Bayne-Power.
While her passing leaves an irreplaceable void, her memory will forever live on in our hearts and in the lives she touched. In honouring her wishes, her passing will be marked quietly by those close to her. May she now rest with those she held dear in her heart, finding solace and reunion beyond this life.
