Neil Clayton Vaters, age 54, of Dublin, passed away suddenly at LHSC University Campus on Tuesday, January 18, 2022.
Born in Stratford, son of the late Alexander and Phyllis (Smith) Vaters. Neil leaves behind to mourn his true love and wife Ann Elizabeth (Leeking) Vaters. Proud father of Ashley (Mike) McCauley, Emily Vaters (Jeff Friesen) and Jarrett Vaters. The best poppy to Drayden, Miley “Millie”, Makenna and Aurora. Neil will be fondly remembered by his siblings Keith Vaters, Lisa Vaters (Gerard Dillon), Mike Vaters, Darren Vaters (Mandy Van Dyken-Beitz) and his brother-in-law Morley (Trin) Leeking and his sister-in-law Cindy (Steve) Brennan and his many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Neil was predeceased by his father-in-law and mothers-in-law Morley Sr Leeking and Eileen and Marie.
Neil was a long-time employee of Schoonderwoerd Brothers Concrete Ltd, when he wasn’t working, he enjoyed his time in his shop, the opportunity to go fishing, but most of all he loved being with his family and grandchildren. Neil impacted a lot of people in his life, and when times are better, the family will celebrate Neil’s life with stories and memories.
A Celebration of Neil’s life will take place on Saturday, April 30, 2022 from 1-5 p.m at the W. G. Young Funeral Home Reception Centre.
