June 1, 1952 - February 5, 2025
It is with great sadness that the family of Heather Carol Clifford (née Jeans) announces her sudden passing on February 5, 2025, at the age of 72. Heather, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully in Florida with her loving husband of 50 years by her side.
Born on June 1, 1952, in Kincardine Township, Ontario, Heather touched the lives of many with her warmth, kindness, and unwavering dedication to her family. She was the loving wife of Tom Clifford, the cherished mother of John Clifford (wife, Tabitha) and Genille Kroeker (husband, Roger), the proud grandmother of Allie, Alanna, Luke, and Matthew, and a valued friend of many, including her sister Valorie Moore (husband, George). Heather was predeceased by her parents, George and Muriel Jeans. Heather will be fondly remembered by the entire Clifford family and her many nieces and nephews.
Heather will be most remembered for her love of her Heavenly Father, her commitment to her family, and her love of beauty—whether it was captured in a flower, a picturesque architectural feat, or a redemptive story. She was passionate about teaching, spending 25 years impacting the lives of countless special needs adults in her care as a literacy instructor. Her love of music, particularly playing the piano and leading worship, was also a key part of her life, and she was a faithful member of Bethel Pentecostal Church.
Not only did Heather have a beautiful heart, but she also appreciated creating beautiful things. She was an avid scrapbooker, sketcher, and card maker, spending endless hours making personalized cards that lifted people’s spirits and directed their attention to her Heavenly Father. She was also an avid traveller, sharing many adventures with her husband, Tom.
Heather’s greatest joy came from her family. She often spoke with pride of her children and grandchildren, and in her last conversations, her love for them was clear. Her profound love for her husband, Tom, will also be remembered as a beacon of what it means to be truly committed to one another.
A visitation will be held on Monday, February 17, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron St, Stratford, ON.
