Warriors host Lincolns on Friday on alumni night at the Allman

A battle for Perth County looms on the horizon in what is shaping up to be a busy weekend for hockey in the area.

The St. Marys Lincolns host the Listowel Cyclones at the Pyramid Rec Centre Thursday night before making the quick drive to Stratford on Friday for a clash at the Allman Arena with the Warriors. St Marys, 19-5-1 on the season, currently holds top spot in the Western conference. The Warriors will be looking to get back into the win column following a 5-1 loss on Wednesday against LaSalle. Carter Petrie scored the lone goal in the loss.

Friday's game with the visiting Lincolns will mark the Warriors' 50th anniversary celebrations along with toasting the Allman Arena's 100th anniversary. The team will be hosting alumni in Section F as they share memories from the last 50 years.

The Stratford Fighting Irish hit the ice once this weekend when they head to Elora for a Friday night tilt with the Rocks. Stratford is 7-6 on the season while Elora is 10-4. 

The Mitchell Hawks welcome the Gorderich Flyers to town Friday night and then will host the Hanover Barons on Sunday. Tavistock will face off at home with the Wellesley Applejacks Friday before they head to Norwich on Sunday to take on the Merchants.
