The Stratford Fighting Irish Hockey are a Semi Professional Hockey Team that plays Saturdays at the Stratford Allman Arena in front of 600-1300 party goers. Yes we try to put on a party at every home game.
Our players consist of former Junior , College/University & EX Pro graduates. We have players from Stratford & many more with ties to local Junior teams such as the St.Mary’s Lincolns & the Stratford Warriors.
The Hockey is A1, that’s the easy part. But we also pride ourselves on putting on an event at every home game. This includes two bars inside the arena setting, Go kart races, target shooting, a Zehrs grocery cart fill up & other contests between periods. During the game at stoppages of play we have an in-game host that entertains with fan trivia interaction, hot dog/T-shirt toss giveaway, live music etc…
Along with having a very competitive hockey team we also entertain Stratford & area by hosting concerts (most recently the James Barker Band), Wrestling Events, Comedy shows, etc …
We also have partnerships with over 6 LOCAL charity organizations & our volunteers team can be seen working at numerous events across Perth County.
Our Organization was recently nominated for Business of the Year in Stratford, this comes in large part because of the partnerships we have made in our three years of existence. We have strived to be entrenched in our community and are focused on giving our partners major value investing with us. This has grown our business family exponentially.
