Immigrants to Canada, newcomers from other provinces, and isolated foreign and Canadian migrants will all find a warm welcome, information, and support at the Multicultural Association office in Stratford, Ontario. Founded in 2011 Sep 20 by Dr. Gezahgn Wordofa, the Multicultural Association of Perth-Huron (MAPH) assists newcomers in Perth and Huron Counties to adjust to life in their new communities by providing services throughout the two counties.
Our President & Founder - DR. GEZA WORDOFA
Gezahgn (Geza) Wordofa was born in Ethiopia and travelled to Russia with a scholarship to pursue post-secondary studies. Educated in law, world history, human rights, international relations, and diplomacy, Geza promptly put his knowledge into practice by securing employment with a charitable organization partnered with The United Nations (UN) Refugee Agency, which managed the care and support of asylum seekers in Russia. Since immigrating to Canada Geza founded the Multicultural Association and was awarded the RBC top 25 Immigrants award in 2015.
Settlement & Support
We provide settlement assistance to newcomers. We assist refugee claimants with completing their applications for asylum, as well as other settlement issues such as dealing with social services and other local, provincial, and federal organizations.

Language/SkillsDevelopment Program initiated in 1992, provides language instruction and training to adult newcomers in English to facilitate their social, cultural and economic integration into Canadian society.

MAPH has the resources, training and support to help you return to newcomers and refugees. Help build a career plan and identify potential employers. Coaching on interview techniques and job search strategies. Information on community events, workshops and career fairs.

We provide services to assisting Canadians and individuals wanting to immigrate to Canada. Our expertise and knowlege of the Canadian and Provincial Government’s rules and processes will enable us to guide you through your application to immigrate to Canada.
