Stratford resident Jason Davis has been nominated to represent the NDP for the upcoming provincial election February 27.

Davis, a diesel technician in the agricultural industry and a small business owner, earned the nomination at the party’s meeting on January 28. Among the issues he is passionate about are affordable housing, childcare and public health.

“I am honoured to be your Ontario NDP candidate for Perth-Wellington,” Davis said in a statement released by his campaign. “After seven years of Conservatives, you deserve a government that’s on your side and invests in housing, healthcare, childcare and education. I am committed to bringing bold solutions to Queen’s Park and advocating for the needs of our community, particularly deeply affordable housing.”

Provincial NDP leader Marit Stiles voiced her support for Davis, saying she is thrilled to welcome him to the team as the party’s voice in Perth-Wellington.

“Jason is the voice Perth-Wellington needs at Queen’s Park and he’s a strong advocate for affordable housing,” she said. “I look forward to working with Jason to build a better and brighter future for Ontarians.”
