Donald Eugene Thomas Herman, age 76, lifelong resident of Stratford, passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at Spruce Lodge with his loving wife by his side. Born in Stratford son of the late Gerald and Margaret (Welsh) Herman. Loving husband of his best friend Donna (Brenneman) Herman of 44 years. Don always mentioned how proud he was to be the father of Tracey Herman and Trevor Herman. And another blessing in his life who actually could win at crib at a very young age was his grandson, Shawn Looby.
Don will be remembered by his sister Geraldine Roberts, his sister-in-law Pam Herman and his brothers and sisters-in-law Doug and Rose Brenneman and Darren and Deanna Ferguson and nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Don was predeceased by his mother-in-law Goldie and her husband Roy Ferguson, and by his loving companion Levi, his brothers Gerry and Joe Herman and his brother-in-law David Roberts.
Donna and her family would like to sincerely thank all of the wonderful staff of Spruce Lodge for making Don feel at home and especially to Donna and Don for their friendship. Your thoughtfulness will never be forgotten.
Friends and family are invited to a celebration of Don’s life on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 from 2-4 p.m. at the W. G. Young Funeral Home Reception Centre, 430 Huron St, Stratford.
